When you enter an intercom interface code from any touch-tone house phone, the phone will allow internal phone conversation as an intercom, without hearing a dial tone or any operator messages. This code can also be used to trigger an audible device, such as a chime module, (HC-XPPHH02, sold separately), to indicate that the intercom is to be used. The chime module(s) can be located with the telephones intended for intercom use and will automatically sound when the command is sent. If only want a particular chime to be sounded, you can change the module code, then manually dial that code after the intercom is in use.
